Here is my first ever YouTube uploaded video. This was taken with my new point-and-shoot Casio Exilim S880 (More on this later).
The wife and I headed down to West Lafayette to watch The Ohio State Buckeyes take on the Purdue Boiler Makers. The near shut out ended in a 23-7 OSU victory. The smallish stadium was packed with OSU fans evidenced by the sea of scarlet. On the walk in a Purdue fan glanced in our direction and muttered to his friend “Is this a Purdue home game?”.
Wow, Dave pushed it pretty hard in this clip.
I own a PSP but I would not call myself a gamer. But… The trailer for the new game Gears of War makes me want to run out and get an xBox. The unbelievable imagery for this trailer was directed by David Fincher. Mad World by Gary Jules is the perfect choice of song. Michael at the BB has a full, and I mean full, review of this game.
Two incredible videos for you this Sunday evening to quench your sports car vid desires; or at least mine. Witness a Bugatti Veyron pull away from a Nissan 350Z like it is standing still. I am still trying to figure out what the tail light dance is all about.
Also on the Porsche site a test driver pushes a bright orange 911 GTR3 RS to the limits. Music choice could have been little better but the imagery is spot on.
In a follow up Bravia advertisement Sony used a ton of paint to demonstrate the color quality of their LCD displays. I would have liked to see this attempted in a dark setting with some powerful spot lights. Did Sony’s ad execs find inspiration in the Infinity television commercials?
I know that this will disappoint at least one of my casual readers but my new favorite light beer has changed from Miller Lite to Budweiser Select. Maybe I am just a sucker for the snappy television commercials or possibly the fact that their website is designed from the perspective of my daily commute, a CTA rail car. I feel that it actually does have a noticeable and pleasant taste. Sorry DC.
As much as I disapprove of Sony for their corporate antics and atrocious handling of DRM issues they do have a great marketing crew. I have been researching a new bedroom television for a while when a friend, who happens to be an expert in this area, recommended the Sony Bravia. While doing my research I stumbled across a great advert.
I am turning into my father. I actually set my alarm now to ensure I get a cup of coffee in hand and to catch CBS New Sunday Morning and the poetic Charles Osgood. The reports are longer, smarter, and more varied, done almost in 60 Minutes style, but the best parts comes at the very end, when the talking stops and the camera shifts to the great out-of-doors for a minute of tranquil scenery.
This peculiar website discovered the secret behind the 45 degree lean in Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal video and in the live performance. I always wondered how he pulled this off. The video clearly shows one of the dancers getting his heal caught when stepping out of the prop.
Here is a link to the full length performance in Mexico City. He obviously has one foot in the deep end just about ready to dive head first into the nut house with that outfit. Still those dance moves are just awesome.
This is a very creative video of many “mid-jump” pictures linked together. It has a very Matrix feel to it in the fight scene encountered half way through. This must have taken forever to piece together. Lately, I have been enjoying the plethora or new content hitting the Google Video, You Tube and Meta Cafe sites; hours on entertainment.
The opening episode of the 10th South Park season arrived with a gut punch. Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators, brought back Chef, the character that Scientologist Isaac Hayes will no longer be voicing due to an episode mocking his religion. The creators brought him back to set him of fire, impale him, shoot him, and attack him by way of mountain lion and grizzly bear to joint the lovable cook. Stone said:
In ten years and over 150 episodes of South Park, Isaac never had a problem with the show making fun of Christians, Muslims, Mormons or Jews. He got a sudden case of religious sensitivity when it was his religion featured on the show.
