I love simple ingenuity. Simple, elegant iPod, iPhone (insert other) holder. Works great to display my dinged up SLVR as well.

Simply breath taking.

This guy is pissed at Verizon. I feel your pain, man. Nice comment line. Classic Veit lingo.

Dark Roasted Blend throws together some terrific photo collections. In light (or lack there of) of Chicago’s drab and gloomy winter weather these colorful, albeit deadly, little frogs brought some color in to the world for me today.

I am going through a site touchup out of view in an attempt to clean up some of the crap lying around this site not to mention the code bloat. In the meantime check out Best Photos of the Year - 2006 by Time magazine.

I sure am glad to see the researchers at Manchester University are tackling some pretty important problems plaguing all of civilization. I mean coming up with a mathematical proof to explain beer goggles really advances our culture. Wonder how much Bausch & Lomb PureVision bequest in grant dollars to have this uncovered. Still I chuckled.

Ian was in from Bermuda on Monday night so we decided to take him out to dinner and visit. We enjoyed some drafts over nice cuts of cooked meat while chatting the night away; a rarity for a Monday night. Originally hailing from Bristol, England I really took notice of Ian’s politeness. It is so prevalent and consistent it borders on absurdity. A quality I believe that some Americans should inherent; it is refreshing.

Track your moods on line with this nice visualizing website, MoodJam. You can record your moods and see them displayed with multi-colored stripes. If you submit your mood with any regularity and for a long enough duration you can track the cyclicality of your feelings. Interesting; my mood for the week would be stressed and tired. Ummm either a red or black line – I am not sure.

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board recently divulged they had covertly funded a project with the U.S. auto makers for the past five years, whereby the auto makers were installing black box voice recorders in four-wheel drive pickup trucks and SUV’s in an effort to determine, in fatal accidents, the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash.

They were surprised to find in 41 of the 50 states the recorded last words of drivers in 61.2% of fatal crashes were, “Oh Shit!”

Only the states of Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana,

Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi and Texas were different, where 89.3% of the final words were: “Hold my beer, I’m gonna try somethin’.”

As the title says this is quite likely the best paper airplane in the world. It has some tricky folds like in step number 18 but the associated Google video (or flash animation) really helps when you get stuck interpreting the static how-to images. I have flown the resulting collection of creases around our condo and am dying to start launching this thing around the office.

My 4G 20gb iPod has gone to iPod heaven. After many attempts to resurrect the little guy the folder of death icon persists. Hard drive failure was the culprit. As a replacement I opted for the new 8gb black Nano. The increased capacity, hardened aluminum case and small form factor sold me. I have had the Nano for about two weeks and my only complaint thus far would be the actual relation of its size to my hands. My hands always feel as if a drop is right around the corner. Moving from 20gb to 8gb has focused my library selections and limited my transfers to songs to which I actually listen. Now I am off to research cases amongst all the other accessories that must be replaced.

I have a friend back in Columbus that loves the idea of miniaturizing nearly everything. His first idea was to infiltrate the pet market with miniature elephants and giraffes; about the size of the standard dog. In theory this sounds like a great idea albeit a very destructive one. Destructive for your furniture that is. My suggestion is to first follow in the foot steps of this couple that miniaturized a whole fast-food meal. This took effort in finding the appropriate scale of all the condiments and such. I like the grease stain on the tiny fry sleeve.

I have no idea why I find this so funny. Could come in handy some day.

As much as I disapprove of Sony for their corporate antics and atrocious handling of DRM issues they do have a great marketing crew. I have been researching a new bedroom television for a while when a friend, who happens to be an expert in this area, recommended the Sony Bravia. While doing my research I stumbled across a great advert.

As a child I use to immerse myself in Legos. In fact I still have a duffle bag full of them at my mothers. I should break those out and see if I still have any of the creativity that use to pour out of me into the tiny pieces. Anyways, this is one of the best print adverts I have seen created by FCB, Johannesburg.
